چکیده

We show there is a non-recursive r.e. set A such that if W is any low r.e. set, then the join W ⊕ A is also low. That is, A is “almost deep”. This answers a question of Jockusch. The almost deep degrees form an definable ideal in the r.e. degrees (with jump.)

OD-characterization of almost simple groups related to U3(11)

Let $L := U_3(11)$. In this article, we classify groups with the same order and degree pattern as an almost simple group related to $L$. In fact, we prove that $L$, $L:2$ and $L:3$ are OD-characterizable, and $L:S_3$ is $5$-fold OD-characterizable.

Computational Depth and Reducibility

This paper reviews and investigates Bennett s notions of strong and weak computational depth also called logical depth for in nite binary sequences Roughly an in nite binary sequence x is de ned to be weakly useful if every element of a non negligible set of decidable sequences is reducible to x in recursively bounded time It is shown that every weakly useful sequence is strongly deep This resu...

Comparison between deep chamfer and 135 ̊ tooth preparation designs on marginal fit and marginal gap in posterior metal-ceramic crowns

Background and Aims: One of the most important challenges for dentists is providing a crown with appropriate marginal fit and gap. The 135-degree tooth preparation found to have some advantages such as technical ease and appropriate finish line record. Despite the advantages of 135-degree tooth preparation, scant research has been done in this area. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compa...

OD-characterization of Almost Simple Groups Related to displaystyle D4(4)

Let $G$ be a finite group and $pi_{e}(G)$ be the set of orders of all elements in $G$. The set $pi_{e}(G)$ determines the prime graph (or Grunberg-Kegel graph) $Gamma(G)$ whose vertex set is $pi(G)$, the set of primes dividing the order of $G$, and two vertices $p$ and $q$ are adjacent if and only if $pqinpi_{e}(G)$. The degree $deg(p)$ of a vertex $pin pi(G)$, is the number of edges incident...

Let $G$ be a finite group and $pi(G)$ be the set of all the prime‎ ‎divisors of $|G|$‎. ‎The prime graph of $G$ is a simple graph‎ ‎$Gamma(G)$ whose vertex set is $pi(G)$ and two distinct vertices‎ ‎$p$ and $q$ are joined by an edge if and only if $G$ has an‎ ‎element of order $pq$‎, ‎and in this case we will write $psim q$‎. ‎The degree of $p$ is the number of vertices adjacent to $p$ and is‎ ...
